Leonidas Akritidis was born in 1979, in Katerini, Greece. He obtained the Diploma of Electrical and Computer Engineer
from the Faculty of Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in Greece, in 2003.
He is now a PhD student conducting research at the scientific field of indexing, searching and ranking in the World Wide Web. His thesis
is at the
department of Computer, Networks and Communication Engineering,
Faculty of Engineering, University of Thessaly, Hellas, under the supervision of the Associate Professor Panayiotis Bozanis.
He has authored several
research articles published in international
scientific journals and conferences. He has also developed and maintained a variety of
desktop and
Web
applications. His latest project is
QuadSearch,
a novel metasearch engine with many innovative features and patent ranking algorithms.
He is currently employed by the Greek Ministry of Education as a highschool teacher of informatics in Vourgareli, Arta. He is detached in Katerini.
