1 As a teacher of the Resource Room I introduced School Psychology, for the first time in a Greek public school, which, although not institutionalized, was supported by the local community. The Resource Room project included: a) diagnostic assessment of learning and psychosocial difficulties of children with standardized psychometric tools, clinical observation of children and psychological history derived from interviews with children, family members, teachers and classmates, b) consultation to teachers, c) consultation to parents, d) implementation of programs for the remediation of learning disabilities and psychological support according to the intrarpersonal profile of the children. The intervention program of the Resource Room was being attended by children with high intelligence, learning disabilities, dyslexia, Asperger's syndrome and ADHD. By parents?, teachers? and childrens? themselves request, the following services were provided: diagnostic evaluation using Athena Test Diagnosis of Learning Disabilities, psychological support due to suicidal thoughts, parent death, nocturnal enuresis, school phobia and other phobias, divorce of parents, relationships with siblings and peers, low self-esteem and withdrawal, tics, anxiety mainly of examinations, consumerism. During the flexible zone I carried out Social and Emotional learning curricula in grades E and ST, in groups or individually for the sake of children with difficulties but also for the cultivation of emotional intelligence and the promotion of mental health and learning of all children.
