Μετά από ένα αεροπορικό ατύχημα στα παγωμένα βουνά της Αλάσκα, μια ομάδα σκληροτράχηλων εργατών θα έρθει αντιμέτωπη με τον απόλυτο κίνδυνο. Η παγωνιά και τα τραύματα τους από το ατύχημα, είναι τα λιγότερα που θα πρέπει να τους απασχολούν, καθώς μια αγέλη πεινασμένων λύκων παρακολουθεί την κάθε τους κίνηση έτοιμη να τους κατασπαράξει. Ο χρόνος τους περιορισμένος και τα εφόδια τους λίγα.
Όμως η δύναμη ψυχής και οι ηγετικές ικανότητες του αρχηγού τους, Λίαμ Νίσον, είναι τα μόνα όπλα που έχουν για να αντιμετωπίσουν τη φονική επίθεση των «γκρίζων δολοφόνων» που καραδοκούν σε κάθε τους στραβοπάτημα.
