TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Higher Education

Academic Year 1980-1981 - Adjunct Lecturer at Hunter College and Queens College of the City University of New York.

Summer Session 2001 - Visiting Lecturer at the University of Florida.

Secondary Education

Since 1990 I have served as a mathematics teacher in Greek Secondary Education in various schools mostly in the island of Corfu, Greece. Moreover, I had three additional years of teaching experience prior to this period as a secondary public school mathematics teacher.

AWARDS- DISTINCTIONS

I was made a member of ΦΒΚ in recognition of high attainments in liberal scholarship.

I have been elected to Pi Mu Epsilon in recognition of superior achievement in the field of mathematics.

In addition I was in charge of selecting and coaching the Corfiot team that participated in a European mathematical event held in Dundee, Scotland. The Corfiot team represented Greece and won the first prize in that particular event. 

HOBBIES

Playing the Piano, the Guitar and the Bouzouki . I have participated in concerts organized by the Astronomical Society of Corfu and the Teachers Union of Corfu.

Reading (Mathematics Education, Philosophy, History, Economics, Physics, Sociology, Psychology, Literature).

Swimming (even in the winter)
