List of works completed by March 2009

On the following list you can find most of the works done by March 2009 since the project started. Click on the titles to download these works.

2006

January 2006: Preparatory meeting in Lancaster UK and Project Summary was made for the official application to start the project.

March 2006: The Web Site for this project started working.

2007

November 2007: Meeting in Valencia took place and the participants created a questionnaire and a logo for the project. A letter was written by the coordinators of this project with instructions for all the teams.

2008

January 2008: A list with e-mail addresses and names of students from all the schools involved in the project was ready and the exchange of e-mails between students started. The Spanish team was the first to produce a presentation about their school and their town.

February 2008: The Greek team produced presentations about their school and their town. The Finnish team also produced a nice presentation of their school, town and country.

March 2008: The Bulgarian team produced a presentation about their town. At the same period everybody received the invitation letter for the meeting in Blankenfelde.

May 2008: Meeting in Blankenfelde, Germany took place. Students produced a 5-languages mini dictionary of common words and phrases. An international buffet was prepared during our last day in Germany, with food from all countries participating in the project.

September 2008: Meeting in Mytilene Greece. The second part of the project started. Video recordings of students practicing dialogs using a foreign language were produced. These videos were assessed against the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

October 2008: Our coordinators from Finland sent some instructions for the works we have to prepare for our next meeting. Our hosts from Bulgaria sent the meeting programme. Students from all schools prepared essays on cultural aspects.

November 2008: Meeting in Gabrovo, Bulgaria. Students assessed essays produced by other students based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The Framework was presented in details to the teachers by our hosts. Traditional dances were performed and presented by the Bulgarian and the Greek team. Decisions were taken for the works to follow. Five stories created by all five schools and a 5-part song were about to begin.

December 2008: First parts of the five stories where ready and sent in a circular alphabetic order (Bulgaria to Finland, Finland to Germany, Germany to Greece, Greece to Spain and Spain to Bulgaria).

2009

January 2009: Second part of the five stories sent in the same order.

February 2009: Third part of the five stories sent again in the same order.

March 2009: Fourth part of the stories created. We are a step behind 5 fantastic stories! E-mailing between students started again before our last meeting.
