About
Ilias Tsakalis [Ηλίας Τσακάλης] was born in Agrinio
in 1974. He graduated from the Economics Department, University of Patras
in 1995 and from the Accounting Department, Technological Education
Institute (T.E.I.) of Messolonghi in 1999. In 2005 he obtained his first
postgraduate degree (Master of Business Administration) from the National
Technical University of Athens (N.T.U.A.), specializing in
Engineering-Economic Systems, while in 2006 he obtained the Certificate of
Pedagogical and Teaching Competence from the School of Pedagogical and
Technological Education (A.S.PE.T.E.) in Patras. In addition, he studied
Public Administration at Panteion University of Social and Political
Sciences where he obtained his third undergraduate degree (Bachelor of
Science) in 2009. In the same year he obtained the Certificate in
Counselling and Guidance from the School of Pedagogical and Technological
Education (A.S.PE.T.E.) in Athens. In 2013 he obtained his second
postgraduate degree (Master of Arts) from the Open University of Cyprus
(O.U.C.), specializing in Banking and Finance, recognised by Hellenic
National Recognition and Information Center as equivalent and equal to the
postgraduate degrees given by Greek Universities (Recognition Act: 48-1104/2013).
In 2020 he obtained his third postgraduate degree (Master of Education) in
Adult Education from the Hellenic Open University (H.O.U.).
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
From March 2000 to December 2005 Ilias Tsakalis was
an Investment Officer of the EFG Eurobank Ergasias S.A. (retail banking).
From January 2006 to August 2007 he worked as an Accountant of the 36th
Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities (Hellenic Ministry of
Culture) in Mesolonghi. In September 2007 he was appointed as a teacher of
Economics in secondary schools (Hellenic Ministry of National Education and
Religious Affairs). From September 2008 to August 2010 he worked at the
General Department of Education in Athens, School of Pedagogical and
Technological Education (A.S.PE.T.E.). He currently works as a teacher of
economics in secondary schools (Hellenic Ministry of National Education and
Relligious Affairs).
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Ilias Tsakalis [Ηλίας Τσακάλης] worked for several
semesters as a Teacher of Economics at the Professional Training Institute
(I.E.K.) of Mesolonghi, which he joined in 1995. From October 2006 to June
2010 he was a Teaching Fellow at the Technological Education Institute
(T.E.I.) of Mesolonghi and at the School of Pedagogical and Technological
Education (A.S.PE.T.E.) in Athens. His primary teaching goal was to advance
the knowledge and research in the fields of Accounting and Finance. From March of 2015 to April of 2015, he was an Adult Education Tutor at
Municipality Lifelong Learning Centers, under the authority of the
Institute of Youth and Lifelong Learning.
