HOW ABOUT CHANGING HABITS IN OFFERING CHRISTMAS PRESENTS?

It’s time to lay down every trouble and worry about school, homework and tasks, and enjoy the season’s holiday in every aspect. So what’s the typical process of celebrating Xmas?

Immerse yourself in the wonderful world of books!!!

Family gathering, Christmas Eve family dinner, Xmas caroling, preparation of traditional pastries and sweets, church attendance and, of course, exchange of gifts. Especially the last one, ‘gift-offering’, is our favorite custom; when it comes to children, they love it (but not only children, adults are impatient to receive gifts as well).

Yet, have you ever questioned yourselves about the kind of presents you offer your children, your relatives, friends or relations?

If not, remember only last year’s seasonal holiday and you’ll realize that you hit the most trendy electronics’ store or the most fashionable clothes store to buy the “can’t-missed it” “must-have”, “state-of the art” gadget or piece of clothing.

So, how about reconsidering our attitude towards gift offering? Why don’t we change our perspective on “suitable gifts” and amount of gifts to be handed out to our loved ones? Always bear in mind the true significance of bearing gifts (religious one) and the quantity of presents given to our loved ones, which comes down to a limited three (or even one-gift rule), and you won’t lose the “actual reason of  the season”.

Thus, instead of cracking your head on what electronic toy or gadget to offer your toddler, pick up an exciting book among numerous eye-catching titles suitable for their age and pursuits.

Do not be intimidated by their pout, and dare to provide them with an ample stirring environments and fascinating worlds, worthy to study, enjoy and finally conquer the pleasure of acquiring knowledge, appreciating language and mind creating imagery. Remember that they will all be thankful for the experience you have offered them, at a later moment, time.

Go for books!!!!!!
