The big reconstruction of the skene building first happened in the Hellenistic years around 200b.C, when it was built two meters ahead the face of the skene, one foundation supportive by pillars. The foundation was heading for an elevated logion (proscenium). The pillars were Doric or Ionian style and there was also a wooden roof and at the both sides additaments, the paraskinia were built. At the same time the side sections became smaller. The pillars of the proscenium, which were three to four meters above the surface of the orchestra, had similarities in the form and the size with the pillars of the backstage, as it was an inseparate architectonical image.
At the skene a second roof was added, the episcenium.
In
the episcenium three openings
These openings were headed for the placement of big paintings which predominated in the visual area of the viewers.
The
orchestra became a 2/3 circle shape.
