CIA Documents Claim Ark of the Covenant Was Found in the 1980s
Newly declassified CIA files claim that the Ark of the Covenant was found in the 1980s through a secret project called Sun Streak. A session of this experiment aimed to find the lost biblical artifact using psychic remote viewing techniques.
In this specific session, the CIA tasked a test subject labelled as Remote Viewer No. 032 with finding an unknown target, which turned out to be the Ark of the Covenant.
The subject did not have any previous knowledge of the target, but he described a container made out of wood, gold, and silver, adorned with images of angels in a shape resembling a coffin.
Remote Viewer No. 032 told the CIA the Ark of the Covenant is in a concealed location
Throughout the experiment, the subject was able to describe the target as a container with another container inside it. According to the biblical legend, the Ark held three sacred items: The Stone Tablets of the Ten Commandments given to Moses, Aaron’s Rod, and the Golden Jar of Manna.
The remote viewer also described the location of the object as being “hidden—subterranean, dark, and wet.” The subject also claimed that the site of the Ark was populated by people who spoke Arabic, dressed in white, which could indicate the presence of mosque domes.
At first glance, the description made by the subject would match the two leading theories surrounding the location of the holy artifact. One theory claims that the Ark was hidden in the Holy of Holies in the innermost chamber in the Temple of Jerusalem, until it mysteriously disappeared during the Babylonian siege of 586 BCE.
A declassified CIA Project named Sun Streak, which was a remote viewing initiative, claimed that the Ark of the Covenant was uncovered in 1988. The other leading theory sustains that the artifact was taken to Ethiopia, where it has been supposedly held in a church called Mary of Zion. The truth is, however, that no one has physically seen the Ark of the Covenant in over 2,500 years.
The CIA’s Project Sun Streak aimed to employ individuals with ‘psychic’ abilities
Project Sun Streak began in the 1980s, and attempted to use individuals with psychic abilities to remotely view locations and facilities by only providing coordinates. The experiment, if effective, was mainly thought for military operations like providing information on enemy assets and locating downed aircraft.
The test subjects of project Sun Streak learned remote viewing techniques known as Coordinate Remote Viewing and Extended Remote Viewing, which were monitored and evaluated for their intelligence value to the agency.
Essentially, what this means is that in practice, the CIA’s remote viewers were given coordinates or abstract “targeting information” without knowing what the target was. Their reports consisted of verbal descriptions, sketches, and other data that were then analyzed by intelligence officers at the agency.
Ultimately, however, reviews found that the overall reliability of the information obtained by the experiments was inconsistent. The programme was therefore discontinued in the mid-1990s.
