WE ARE DIFFERENT,WE ARE SIMILAR...WE ARE EUROPEANS! aims to be a BRIDGE between tradition and the modern world, and therefore it tries to combine research of the past (traditional remedies, traditional weather forecasting, popular sayings, historical places, traditional/old /extinct professions, toys and traditional games, etc.) with present-day technology used in day to day work (computers, cameras….) The partnership also wants to promote new learning, share experiences and network for the improvement of management and leadership in the provision of adult education.
With this in mind, students of all ages and levels will be encouraged to engage in active learning and to share ideas and knowledge, giving special attention to the older learners who will thereby be able to hand down traditions, experiences and values to their younger peers through, for example, the comparison of sayings, vocabulary from the past and the present, etc.
“SECRETS OF THE PAST” will be revealed in this meeting point between different generations which will highlight the importance of multicultural learning in a varied European continent and will at the same time unite traditions and similar customs.
Cultural HERITAGE can play an important role in moving the emphasis from teaching to the learning where learners will be encouraged to become actively involved in the acquisition of skills and knowledge.
The Learning Partnership aims to review organisational management practices in local community based adult education in order to respond effectively to the educational needs of socially and economically vulnerable groups.
