“The history of literature is today, more than ever, among difficult contradictions and for that reason is avoided by many. Genetic growth and handling of phenomena in their self-existence, dependence on the environment and imprinting of private, penetration in the race and fragmentation of the limits, direct approach of works based on the general human preconditions (Nietzsche is warning us to be careful of indiscreet intimacy!), keep distance from Greeks as if humans who are apart of our thinking, these are few of the contrasted views that raise their claim. We avoid lengthy theoretical discussions, we confess our belief that we have to do with true oppositions and that each one of the views that we crossed out may claim little justice for its own good. Fruitful discussion is possible only with their own presentation”
