ATB - AcrossTheBible across Europe The Bible: a valuable Textbook of English available to all, promoting a greater sense of European heritage and togetherness, creating bridges that go beyond geographical borders.
It is great to have you here with us.
This is a magazine where you can see the outcomes of young people of
different age groups, different schools, different curricula, different
countries. In common there is work based on Bible narratives. Simple or
complex texts in English along with illustrations in black pencil or
colour ones, collages or mixed technics, the use of basic ICT tools to
facilitate communication, bring us all, Teachers, Pupils, Guests together.
The Bible is used here as a common Textbook of English, a starting point
that allows purposeful research, innovation, creativity, the easy
association of the cognitive and the emotional processes in educational
context.
We wish to do away with the prejudice that the Bible is
private property of religion, of churches or of Christians only...Of
course not! It is a most rich world heritage that is not to be ignored in
school life and is to be approached by every generation for the
crosscultural lessons on values, on interpersonal relationships that it
can offer, irrespective of private spiritual approaches.
