Mountains - Oregon activities abound! Oh wow, a whale! I heard my wife exclaiming outside the motel room. I wondered where in the world she was and what kind of prank she was taking as her voice drifted in through a window. I lay in a state in the room, attempting to catch several more winks after our evening journey down the Oregon coast. The youngsters voices chimed in with hers, back behind our motel room someplace, exclaiming about their first sitings of sharks - on the market. Startling awake, I realized that they were talking about actual whales, and were calling me to move out there before I missed them - no kidding concerned! The best thing I moved too, because I had never seen anything like that in my own entire life. I certainly never likely to be so lucky on this jaunt we mountain people from Montana had taken up to the Oregon coast. After I came in the lodge room, down the corridor and around the building, to my astonishment, there it was. As large as life and to our c-omplete amazement, right off the rocky shore below the hotel we were staying at in Seaside, Oregon, a couple of sharks were working their way along with-in close view of the shore. To local folks and to others that live along the countries shores that might not happen to be any huge deal. But in my experience, the youngsters and my partner Evie, Ash and Rob, actually seeing a whale spouting - only blew us away! The crowning touch needless to say were the whales, real spouting whales swimming right out in the nearby waters. We slept because little corner of paradise for just a couple of days, enjoying the region around Seaside. Visiting here possibly provides lessons you can give to your uncle. We explored the nearby coastal pieces, marveling at the formations at Canon Beach, drinking in those remarkable views out to the water, and marveling at the roar of the waves on the stones. Incredible bits of an environment of the kind individuals from the Rocky Mountains never imagined possible. The third time we gathered up our things, pulled the water-logged kids out of the pool, and continued our pursuit of the huts and yurts of the Pacific northwest. Within a brief stop-over at Beverly Beach we examined the wonderful yurts of the Oregon Parks system, looking into a yurt they had setup for van leases. That was definitely an item for future research on some get back trip to the region - a yurt on the Pacific coastline - imagine that. Our trips finally light emitting diode us to depart the coastal regions and head inland to the far northeast corner of Oregon, back up in-to the Wallowa area of the state and the Wallowa Mountains.
