Wrapping up
“In the past, you had to memorize knowledge because there was a cost to finding it. Now, what can’t you find in 30 seconds or less? We live an open-book-test life that requires a completely different skill set.”
Mark Cuban
It is true that our students grow more sophisticated, and they’ll undoubtedly demand more
multifaceted learning experiences. But how well our schools meet their
demands? To make sure all our students are engaged in learning and we meet their demands for fresh approaches, we have to
turn to unusual ways to reach them and we will experience some very
positive results!
In order to create a creative classroom we have to be creative as teachers and be able to tap into our creativity. We have noticed that somewhere between childhood and adulthood, many adults have forgotten how to use their imagination to think and solve problems out of the box.
So how can we as teachers regain and maintain our spirit of creativity?
- Be curious.
- Look for ways to become a kid again.
- Celebrate our failures
