Short CV:
Stefanos Ougiaroglou was born in Aridea, Greece in 1981. He received a B.Sc in Computer Science (2004) from the department of Information Technology of Alexander TEI of Thessaloniki, Greece, a M.Sc. in Computer Science (2006) from the department of Computer Science of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and a PhD in Computer Science (2014) from the department of Applied Informatics of University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece. The title of his PhD thesis is "Algorithms and Techniques for Efficient and Effective Nearest Neighbours Classification". His PhD studies were supported by a Scholarship from State Scholarships Foundation (I.K.Y) of Greece. Moreover, S. Ougiaroglou holds a Certificate of Pedagogical and Teaching Competence (2010), ASPAITE, Thessaloniki, Greece. Currently, he is a computer science teacher in Greek public secondary education. In 2015-2016, He is on one-year secondment to the department of Informatics Engineering of Alexander TEI of Thessaloniki, Greece where he teaches several courses. In addition, he has employed as an adjunct part-time lecturer/instructor at Dept. Of Telecommunication Systems and Networking of TEI of Messolonghi, Greece and at Dept. of Computer Science of City College (Internatinal faculty of University of Sheffield) in Thessaloniki. His research interests include Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, Machine learning, Data Reduction, Data streams, Time Series, Data management for Mobile Computing, Databases, Algorithms and Data Structures and Educational Technology. He has co-authored several journal and conference papers in these fields.
