The Buckingham Palace
The Palace is the official London residence of The Queen since 1837. It evolved from a town house that was owned from the beginning of the 18th century by the Dukes of Buckingham. The rooms are lavishly furnished with some of the finest treasures from the Royal Collection – paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens, Claude, Vermeer, Poussin and Canaletto; sculpture by Canova and Chantrey; exquisite examples of Serves porcelain, and some of the finest English and French furniture in the world.
