Present Simple

We use the Present Simple tense:

1) for repeated or regular actions in the present.

eg. I have English lessons twice a week.

2) for facts.

eg Marie comes from France.

3) for habits.

eg. I wake up early every day.

4) for something that is generally true.

eg. The sun rises in the East.

5) for timetables.

eg. The plane leaves at 4:oo am.
