The project: “All the World, Our World” is designed according to the principles of Modern Pedagogical Theories, Problem solving, Person-Centered, Positive, and Existential Psychology. The objectives of the program were organized based on the objectives of the Curricula and we performed the activities during the school daily program. According to the theoretical framework of the Curricula, the modern open school should take care of the overall personal development of students: cognitive, emotional, and social development.
Our project is an innovative action, which aims to activate students’ action on issues related to their personality: positive self-esteem, discovering the positive elements of each personality, cultivating and developing emotional skills, recognizing and managing positive and negative emotions, discovering and cultivating personal talents, learning about children’s rights, recognizing and understanding European values for the establishment of a just democratic and free world, evaluating and changing students’ attitudes towards stereotypes (diversity, gender, color, religion, culture) activation and dissemination of students’ positions in the social contexts in which they act, grow and develop.
So:
- We got to know the neighborhood, the school, our city better and present them to our partners
- We created our identity, met and communicated with classmates from different European countries
- We discovered the uniqueness of each personality and shared them with others
- We presented the beauties of each country (Greece, Poland, Malta) and traveled in three different countries using ICT.
- We cooked food of our country and the other countries which we worked with
- We painted the interior light, which can not be met by external criteria (stereotypes)
- We discovered savoring, that is, to live each of our special beautiful experiences with all our senses and to keep it alive inside us
- We shared beautiful positive experiences with our partners and exchanged views.
- We discovered our talent and shared it with our partners
- We set up our own radio station to hear our voice and talk about issues that concern us
- We played games (wheel, escape room)
- We discovered our rights and created comic stories using a free tool (web 2) for everyone to hear our messages
- We painted the values that form the basis for creating a harmonious world
- We sent letters to change the conditions of our city that do not respect diversity and we sent our messages to everyone
- We wrote a fairy tale inspired by our values and rights
- We learned ICT tools and we presented our activities like pixton, padlet, our book, word
The Magic Box:
The class teacher puts a mirror in a shoebox. She tells the children: “This box was brought by the postman and he told me that there is a unique and very important person inside”. The teacher opens the box, looks inside the box, she looks surprised and then she tells the children: “It’s real, the box has a unique and very important person inside”. The teacher then tells the children that each of you will look inside the box but he/she will not tell the others what he/she saw in the box. After that, the teacher asks all the children: “what did you see in the box?” The children answer “me”. After that, we talk to our friends’ circle.

Beauties of our countries
Hi, partners. It’s time to present the beauties of our countries. All students have personal experiences from visiting a part of their country. So each student will choose one of the parts of his/her country and will present it by writing a short text and choosing a photo from the specific area. In his/her text, he should tell to us why someone should visit the specific place when he/she travels to his country, what is special… In this activity, we will use the program genially-Interactive photo
Then we will create a discussion in a “forum” page of twinning space and the students will interact.
