Welcome to our site that is going to present you everything that our students have done within the context of "Virtual e-Class" project. A project which was supported by the Research Centre for English Language (RCEL) of the University of Athens which is conducting a research with a view to reform the educational programme of Language Teaching, Testing and Assessment.

A second grade class from the 4th junior High School of Serres and a seventh form class from Alexandru Macedonski High School prepared all the material and constructed this site. It was a really valuable experience for all of us and especially for students who had the chance to do something different than usual, much more motivating and challenging. Firstly, it gave them the great opportunity to cooperate with other students living in another country with a different mother tongue, different traditions and culture. Moreover, they used the English language to communicate, share experience and this way practice everything they have been learning for so long in an authentic context. Finally, the theme of the project helped them to develop a positive attitude towards various sports, to realise the benefits of physical exercise and lastly to feel proud of their national teams? achievements in many tournaments.
