1: PIROS DIMAS WON THE GOLD METAL IN WEIGHTLIFTING IN THE OLYMPIC GAMES IN 1996.

 

2: GREEK FOOTBALL TEAM WON THE EURO CUP IN 2004.

 

3: IRON MIKE ZAMBIDIS IS THE FIRST GREEK KICK BOXER ATHLETE THAT TOOK PART IN THE K1 AND IS GOING TO COMPETE IN A MATCH TO WIN THE WHITE TITLE OF KING OF THE RING.

 

4: GREEK BASKETBALL TEAM WON THE SILVER MEDAL IN 2006 IN FIBA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

 

5:: VOULA PATOYLIDOU WON THE GOLD METAL IN 100M RUNNING RACE IN 1992 OLYMPIC GAMES 

 

6: NIki Ksanthou    won the Mediterranean Games of 1997 in Bari and the European under 23 Cup in 1994. Also won the second place in the 1997 World Championships in Athens and the gold medal in 2002 European Indoor Championships in Vienna.

 

7:The Greece women's national water polo team represents Greece in international women's water polo competitions. Since the 2000s, Greece have emerged as one of the leading powers in the world, with their most precious achievements being the silver medals in the 2004 Summer Olympics and the 2010 European Championship, while they are the current gold medalists from the 2011 World Aquatics Championships.

 

8: Ioannis Melisanidis is the 1994 European Champion on floor and the first Greek gymnast ever to medal in the World Championships.

 

9: Nikolaos Kaklamanakis is a three-time Mistral class windsurfing world champion and a gold medalist in sailing in the 1996 Summer Olympics.

 

10: In July 2011 Alexander Nikolaidis  managed to secure a place in the 2012 Olympic Games by being  placed third in the 2011 World Teakwood Olympic Qualification Tournament in Baku, Azerbaijan by defeating Liu Xiaobo of China in the 3rd place play-off
