Food Market and Safety

The shops that sell food, like supermarkets, follow strict rules of keeping food fresh and fit to eat so in that way the customers to be  sure for the best quality of it. Afterwards it is our own responsibility for keeping this quality.

The purchase of food is the first stage of this responsibility. Not only because we can have a look for any signs that confirm the safety and the quality of food, but also there many things we can do by ourselves. It is easy ...... and is the following!

All the producers and the suppliers of food have the responsibility for supplying safe food. But, nevertheless, there are some certain   things we must pay attention to:

  Engraved ,bulging tins
  Perforated boxes, tins, bottles.
  Torn wrappings
Inflated packing of food and tins.
  Broken eggs.
  Incomplete airtight packing of food.
Dairy and other frozen foods out of refrigerator.
Jars that have cracks or loose lids.

The food may have germs that can make you sick.
Don’t buy such products; it is possible that they have been infected with bacteria.

Pay attention to the label.
When the consumer buys pre-packaged food, should know that on the label there is all the information that gives him/her the possibility to select the product that corresponds to his/her needs in the best way.

It is particularly useful for the consumers to pay more attention on reading the list of food ingredients, only by this way they can have complete knowledge of the composition of food, as well as additives that are used for the food production.

Packed foods without a label of unknown origin must be avoided, because they are probably adulterated or inadequately.

Pay attention  to:

·        On the labels of pre-packaged foods are entered obligatorily the following clues:

·        The name of sale of product.

·        The list of ingredients.

·        The quantity.

·        The final date of consumption.

·        The particular conditions of maintenance and use.

·        All the evidence of the preparer or even the salesman’s or of the person in charge.

·        The place of production or origin, in the case where the omission can induce the consumer.
