ANKARA MEETING
The 4th meeting of our Project was held in Ankara with the participation of teachers and students from all partner countries.
On the first day of the project in Ankara, participants met each other, school administrators, teachers and staff students. They visited the school departments and learned about the students work in the workshops, classes and atelier. Afterwards, a visit was made to the mausoleum of Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey.
On the second day we did a cultural tour to Beypazarı district, the stages of silver processing unique to the region were observed at the site of the construction and cooking of beypazarı dry (a traditional food). Turkish baths and museums of history and culture were visited and information about Turkish culture was given.
On the third day of the program, the project participants met at our school. In the program, the participants were introduced to ney, bağlama, bendir, the important elements of our traditional music culture, the twichmen show, which is our traditional dance, the participating countries made their presentations with the content of ‘capitals’, and at the end of the program, our traditional Turkish dessert, Ashura, was offered to all participants. The rest of the day; The Altindag district, where the Haci Bayram Mosque, Ankara Castle and traditional Ankara houses and the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations are located, was visited.

On the fourth day of the program, trips were made to the Kocatepe Mosque and the Independence War Museum. In Altınköy, a traditional village, items belonging to the village culture were discovered and experienced. Afterwards, the participants were given certificates and thanked for their participation, accompanied by traditional meals. The next meeting was held with the coordinating teachers on mobility and project issues.
On the last day of the project work, social life in Ankara was observed in Hamamönü district, the House of Mehmet Akif Ersoy, the author of our national anthem was visited, the clock tower and traditional Turkish baths were visited and shared with Turkish coffee.
