Project ’14-’15 / Subtitles
The first semester project of our class A produced some lovely work of the students. The students researched the topic of translation and in particular, the area of subtitling for the movie industry.
After their research and the production of their word documents, they went on to learn how to use a free subtitling programme called Subtitle Workshop. Their work is admirable in the sense that they managed to create subtitles for scenes from films that they chose and the power points they created were very interesting. Below you will see their presentations and their final document of the project. Each presentation includes an example of their subtitling work.
I am very pleased with their work! They learned a lot about an interesting profession and they also practiced their language skills!
