Project ’15-’16: Radio

I always take joy in choosing topics that my students find interesting and motivating. One such topic is the one I will talk about here: Radio and the different ways with which it has affected our lives. The teams came up with the following questions and tried to answer them via online search, interviews and questionnaires.

  1. What are the characteristics and laws related to online radio?
  2. What are the types of radio and what are people’s preferences today?
  3. What is the historical background of the radio?
  4. What are the radio-related professions in our country?
  5. What is the impact that radio has in our lives?

The teams issued a questionnaire each, which helped them reach a conclusion and which you can find in the files below. Even though their work needed some extra care, I am satisfied with the way they dealt with the topic.

We also visited two radio stations – one news report station and a music station – and they absolutely loved it because they saw what it is like to produce music or news broadcasts on radio. Many thanks to Mr Katopodis and Mr Marinos for their insight into the life of a reporter and a music producer respectively.
