The DNA journey
This is a 2-hour session I prepared for my students after watching a fascinating video about how DNA can show us our origins in a way that eliminates every hint of racism people may have in them. Race or place of origin is nothing, if you manage to look at the wider picture: we are all the same species, roaming this earth and trying to live our lives as best as we know!
This is the task sheet that I prepared:
The session is based on these 2 videos:
A Momondo social experiment, called the DNA journey
and an Amnesty International social experiment, called Look beyond borders
The activities also include the U2 song “Ordinary Love”
Basically, I was trying to have my students answer the opening question in one of the videos:
Would you dare to question who you really are?
